Getting in
The region is served by Athens International Airport (ATH) at Spata, the country’s main aviation gateway, which anchors all the listed locations via road or metro links. Main hospital
Attica’s tertiary care is concentrated in large public university hospitals around Athens, notably Attikon University General Hospital in western Athens and Evangelismos General Hospital near central Kolonaki, both recognised national reference centres. Seasonality
Greater Athens has a hot, dry Mediterranean summer with July–August daytime temperatures often exceeding 35°C, making the city feel oven-like, while winters are mild and wetter. Core urban districts remain busy year-round, but ferry and island-hopping timetables from Piraeus thin out significantly between November and April, with high-speed tourist routes reduced or suspended though main lifeline routes continue.
